Covid-19 Information

 

Here are couple of things you need to know about shipping:

What you can expect from us:

We will always package and prepare your items for shipping as soon as possible, and will have them ready to pickup by the carrier. Generally this is within 1-2 business days of receipt of your order. If your order is time critical, please contact us prior to placing your order. Note that shipments require transport by freight carrier generally have a longer lead time.

 

What we can do to help:

If your shipment has already been issued a tracking number, but UPS has not yet picked it up, we can change the shipping to a faster method however you will be required to pay the difference in cost.

 

Expedited Shipping:

If you select and expedited shipping method (Next Day Air, 2-Day Air, 3-Day Select) we will do our best to make sure the product ships the same day as ordered, however please note that expedited orders placed after 1:00pm eastern time may not ship until the next business day.

Note that Saturday and Sunday are counted as business days, so an order placed on a Friday afternoon after the 1:00 cutoff will likely not ship until Monday. Any expedited order placed over the weekend will not ship until Monday.

 

What is our out of our Control:

We do not have control over the actual time in transit. UPS (and all other carriers) have been operating with less that optimal manpower since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, so there may be service delays.

Note that if you selected an expedited shipping service, UPS has reinstated its service guarantee, so if you package is not delivered within the advertised service window, contact us and we will work with UPS to get you a refund.

Freight Shipping 

Freight shipping continues to experience service delays. There simply are not enough available trucks and drivers to handle all of the freight being transported, so please expect that there will be service delays.

Note that, unless otherwise quoted, all freight shipments, including those placed online, do not include unloading services or liftgate services.

We (and LTL carriers) do not offer “piggy-back” forklift delivery, and liftgate delivery is generally limited by the size and weight of the materials being shipped.

In all cases, it is the responsibility of the customer to provide a means to unload at time of delivery.

We ship Monday through Friday except for the following:

Office Closed / No Shipping

  • New Year’s Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day

If the holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday is usually observed. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, Friday is usually observed.

Orders that are placed before 1:00 PM on the day before a holiday will be processed/shipped on the same day. Orders that are placed after 1:00 PM will be processed/shipped on the following business day.

Orders that are placed before 1 PM on December 23th, 2020 will be processed/shipped on the same day.

No shipping between December 24th to December 27th, 2020.

Shipping will resume on December 28th, 2020.

Orders that are placed before 1 PM on December 30th, 2020 will be processed/shipped on the same day.

No shipping between December 31st, 2020 to January 3rd, 2021.

Shipping will resume on January 4th, 2021.

The warehouse that stocks the following products will be closed from December 17th through January 5th, 2021, and reopens on January 6th:

DO I HAVE TO BE A CONTRACTOR TO ORDER FROM RM?

No, we sell to do-it-yourselfers every day!

HOW IT SHIPPING CALCULATED?

Shipping is automatically calculated using several different factors, including package weight, dimensions, delivery location, and shipping location. If you believe that your quoted shipping in incorrect, please contact us and we will calculate the lowest rate manually.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP? WHERE FROM?

We ship from many locations across the US depending on the product and proximity to you. There are several things that effect when your order ships. If it's a standard "stock" item (tools, fasteners, gutter products, etc, it will usually ship within 1-3 business days of your order. 

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TRACKING NUMBER?

We can usually provide tracking numbers (you will be notified via the email you provided) within one business day of your order shipping. In some cases this may mean that your package may arrive before you receive the tracking number.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

Shipping costs depend on your location and weight of the item(s). We utilize the netParcel shipping gateway to calculate shipping costs.

Sales Tax? Why am I being charged?

We are required to collect sales taxes for several states, including Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina and Washington due to the Supreme Court's South Dakota vs. Wayfair Decision.

When will my order ship?
