How far apart should the clamps be spaced?

For maximum holding strength, clamps should be spaced no more than 24 inches apart along the panel seam. Each set screw should be torqued using a calibrated wrench — 160 to 180 inch-pounds for 22-gauge steel, and 130 to 150 inch-pounds for other metals and thinner gauges. Proper spacing and torque are critical for long-term performance.

Can I use LM Curbs Snow Rails with S-5! clamps?

Yes, LM Curbs SnowGuard Systems can be installed using S-5! clamps. If you already have S-5! clamps in place or prefer them for specific roof profiles, the LM Curbs rods and snow straps can be adapted to work with compatible S-5! clamp models. Just make sure the spacing, torque, and installation method follow manufacturer guidelines to ensure a secure, effective system.
