The IDT Inline Downspout Diverter is designed to divert rainwater from the downspout into a rain barrel or collection system while maintaining the clean, fast-flow performance of the Nordic Steel gutter system. Installed inline within the downspout run, it allows water to be collected when needed and returned to normal drainage when the barrel is full.

The diverter features a fold-out tongue that opens to direct water into a barrel and folds back to restore normal downspout flow. Its expanded upper end and shrunken lower end make installation quick and intuitive, with the same 2" overlap used throughout the Nordic Steel downspout system. No caulking, rivets, or screws are required, keeping fasteners out of the water path and reducing the risk of clogs and leaks.

The IDT can be installed before or after a downspout section, allowing flexibility based on site conditions and barrel placement. When closed, it functions as a straight-through section of pipe; when open, it efficiently redirects water for collection.

Manufactured from precoated galvanized steel, the diverter ages consistently with the rest of the system for a uniform appearance over time.
