The S-5-E clamp is specifically designed for use with double-folded standing seam metal roofs (SSMR) that are popular in the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. It is also compatible with Butler’s MR-24® system. This non-penetrating clamp provides an economical solution for mounting various utilities and equipment on roofs with traditional seam dimensioning, specifically those with a seam fold of less than ½ inch (13 mm).

The S-5-E clamp is well-suited for heavy-duty applications and can be used in conjunction with S-5! ColorGard snow retention systems. To ensure its reliability and performance, rigorous load testing is conducted on both the standard and Mini versions of the clamp.

Negative load testing, performed on all Mini clamps, involves applying a load in a direction perpendicular to the seam (pull-up force). Parallel load testing, conducted on all standard clamps, entails applying a load parallel to the seam (drag load or along the seam). These tests assess the clamp’s ability to withstand different types of loads and ensure its strength and durability.
