Description

The S-5-Q Mini clamp is a specialized product designed to accommodate metal roof panels with a large, round bulb seam configuration of up to 29 mm. It is essentially a smaller version of the S-5-Q seam clamp. One of its primary purposes is to provide a solution for smaller bulb-shaped profiles that were not properly seamed, allowing the seam to be utilized without any modification.

The clamp features a two-piece design that facilitates easy installation along the length of the rib. To install the clamp, you simply need to place it on the seam, position the insert piece, and tighten the setscrews. It is important to note that the S-5-Q Mini is slightly shorter than the S-5-Q clamp and has only one setscrew instead of two.

The S-5-Q Mini clamp is a versatile product that can be used to attach various types of rooftop accessories. It is commonly employed for installing signs, walkways, satellite dishes, antennas, rooftop lighting, lightning protection systems, solar arrays, exhaust stack bracing, conduit, condensate lines, mechanical equipment, and much more. Its flexibility and ease of use make it a popular choice in a wide range of applications.

*S-5!® Mini clamps are not compatible with, and should not be used with, S-5! SnoRail /SnoFence or ColorGard® snow retention systems. The regular S-5-Q should be used with all ColorGard applications. The S-5-Q Mini clamp comes complete with one [1] 3/8″x24 x 0.80″ round nose set screw. All hardware is stainless steel. The insert is aluminum. The Hex bolt is no longer standard with S-5! mini clamps. Options are:

  • No bolt
  • 17mm (11/16″) M8-1.25 Flanged Bolt
  • 20mm (7/8″) M8-1.25 Flanged Bolt
  • 40mm (1-9/16″) M8-1.25 FlangedBolt

Perfect to mount a Starlink antenna to my metal roof.

Make sure you know the shape of your metal roof. Once you know that, buy the appropriate S5! clamp style. I had to go through two different varieties to get the right one.

I used four of these and two cross members to attach my Starlink antenna. It was simple and straightforward, and the connection is robust for me not to worry about it at all.
