Its bi-metal construction combines corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel with a hardened carbon steel drill point, delivering exceptional drilling performance while maintaining long-term corrosion resistance.

The SD5 self-drilling point quickly drills and taps threads in metal up to 5/16" thick, helping reduce installation time while providing outstanding holding strength. Silver VistaCoat® provides an additional barrier that helps reduce galvanic corrosion when the fastener is used with aluminum, while the fastener's high ductility helps reduce the risk of delayed embrittlement failures. The hex washer head provides secure tool engagement and dependable load distribution for structural fastening applications.
